Revival is an awakening. A revitalization. A return to a former glory. The Church, Christ’s body, suddenly shakes off her slumber, and once again is re-animated, alert to a day of opportunity; a return to her true nature and purpose.
The hearts of the ancient prophets longed for a renewal of God’s deeds, a restoration of His works and an outpouring of His Spirit. Suddenly, in the sovereignty of God, their dreams were realized in an inrush of Divine life at Pentecost.
