Celebrating 25 years of Hillsong Conference

About

Hillsong Conference was birthed out of a desire to be a blessing to the Church worldwide and make God’s name known across the earth.

Tues 5th - Fri 8th July 2011

The first ever conference was held in 1986, just three years after Pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston started the church, and attracted 150 delegates. In 2001 the conference moved to what is now the Acer Arena, and annually hosts over 25,000 delegates, across all denominations, from a variety of nations.

The Hillsong Conference exists to champion the Cause of the local church, and offers topics for all ages, and interests; including pastors youth and children’s ministries, worship, community action, musicians, TV, Media and more. Hillsong Conference is all about inspiring dreams, impacting lives, and empowering the cause of Christ both locally and globally.

Why Hillsong Conference? (What makes us different?)

Brian: Hillsong Conference is about you and your church. It is a unique gathering that stretches across churches regardless of denomination, size, and country. I believe that the mandate of hillsong conference is inclusive, it is about teaching and resourcing, equipping and empowering, but it is also about gathering and learning from one another, with an outward focus that says we can do more together.

During the past 25 years how has Hillsong Conference changed you personally?

Bobbie: Hard to answer, but perhaps it has created confidence that the Church is God's. He’s building it, he watches over it. One sows, another waters, and God gives the increase.

What are your expectations for Hillsong Conference 2011?

Bobbie: I don’t know yet but I think more of everything to do with his Spirit. “the Spirit and the bride say come”. I want us all to be bang, smack in the middle of that profound declaration
for these latter days.
Brian: Hillsong 2011 is our 25th Hillsong Conference and I believe for it to be both a celebration of the many church's teams and individuals who have been impacted by the conference over 25 years. We also want it to be a celebration around the nation of 25 years of Hillsong’s influence on the global church. 2011 will be a unique conference for casting our eyes and our vision on the future and believing that this conference will set the path towards even greater influence in years to come!
